PROTOTYPES “Synthetique"

In July of 2003, the duo Bosco, Stéphane Bodin and François Marché, joined by young performer Bubble Star , a. k. a. Isabelle Le Doussal, left the Parisian music scene to record the famous “Danse Sur La Merde (Qui Passe à La Radio)” (“Dance To The Shit Playing On The Radio). Thrilled by the outcome, they decided to make an album and form PROTOTYPES. Their debut “Prototyps” full-length, “Tout Le Monde Cherche Quelque Chose A Faire” (“Everybody Is Looking For Something To Do”), released in March 2004 gained immediate popularity, resulting in concerts throughout Europe. Their second album, 2006’s “Mutants Mediatiques” had an even bigger following, leading to their US debut on Minty Fresh. Off this record, the song “Who’s Gonna Sing?” was featured in one of Apple’s iconic iPod commercials and included in the hit show “The L Word”. Such exposure led to record releases and tours in Japan and Germany as well as North American dates and a smash gig at 2007 South By Southwest. With “Synthetique”, their third album, the Parisian pair Bot’ox, Cosmo Vitelli and Julien “Tekel” Briffaz, team up to produce the highly anticipated release while bringing a firmer touch of Electro to the fun. This album has modern, humorous and even deep (!) lyrics sung in a sincere yet mischievous fashion in songs including the Bon-Scott-era-AC/DC guitar crunch meets Human League dance-pop of “L’Amour, L’Amour, L’Amour!”, or “Un Coup De Langue”, which is dedicated to Catherine Deneuve’s tongue movements. But, of course.

Let “L’Amour” begin.
